Great FitzRoy Mussel Fest

Come along and enjoy mussels served as the ingredient in various mussel-based cuisine, mussel chowder, kebabs, fritters and more.  Enjoy the live entertainment and the beautiful views over Port FitzRoy harbour, one of the best natural deep water harbours in New Zealand. The population swells dramatically in summer when up to 900 boats anchor in the many sheltered bays and coves around its edge.
 

and alongside the Mussel Fest the FitzRoy Family Fest is held on the DOC Landing Reserve across the road from The Boat Club.  This is a free, no alcohol event. Featuring craft and local produce, yummy food stalls and live music.  Fun entertainment for children with a bouncy castle, kids races and more. Find a shady spot and enjoy the day with family and friends.
